Seven-fight World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran Kamal Shalorus, who was released from the organization last year after three-straight losses, has signed with ONE FC and will debut on May 31, 2013.

Set to take on the "Prince of Persia" in his ONE FC debut is Eduard Folayang, a 15-fight veteran of the sport who has fought three times before under the ONE FC banner.

Dave Doyle of MMA Fighting reported the lightweight match up on Saturday (March 30, 2013) morning.

Shalorus (7-3-2) looked like he had a promising career ahead of him when he opened his career on a nine-fight unbeaten streak, including wins over Will Kerr, Dave Jansen and Bart Palaszewski in the WEC.

Once Shalorus moved to the UFC, though, he struggled to find his footing and was defeated and finished in consecutive bouts by Jim Miller, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Rafael dos Anjos.

The 40-year-old is one of the older fighters in the mixed martial arts (MMA) game, but that won't prevent him from trying to make a comeback over one year after his last fight.

Folayang (12-3) has spent his entire career competing in the Asian MMA circuit and has racked up some nice wins along the way. The 28-year-old is 2-1 during his stint with ONE FC with the lone defeat coming by split decision to Ole Laursen.

ONE FC 9 goes down May 31, 2013, from the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Philippines, just outside of Manila.
