If you're looking for someone to speak out against performance enhancing drugs (PEDs) from the mixed martial arts (MMA) community, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is as good a candidate as any.
As a former Olympic athlete, Rousey has been through some of the most vigorous drug testing in all of sports, and has never failed a test to the public's knowledge.
That alone made her a great choice to sit on a panel of athletes an experts on a recent edition of "Jim Rome on Showtime" to discuss PEDs in sports.
Rousey was joined by former NFL Linebacker Dhani Jones and University of California professor Dr. Harry Edwards on the show to give their take on PEDs in not just MMA or football, but all sports.
Among the issues discussed by Rome, Rousey, Jones and Edwards were the war against PEDs by media, if fans care if athletes are on steroids and why athletes decide to cheat in the first place.
On top of the PED issue, the panel also gave their thoughts on religion in sports and athletes ability to bounce back from a low point in their career.
