"The fight I want right now he has a fight lined up, but the fight I want is Nate Diaz. I want to be the first one to say, ‘I beat both the Diaz brothers.' And I got the bigger brother on the resume already, so I want to go in there and get the little brother and we make - our styles make for an awesome, awesome fight. Ground battles -- it's just a great fight and that's who I'd like to fight."
-- Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight Diego Sanchez already has his next opponent in mind after his controversial split decision win over Takanori Gomi in Japan as "The Dream" told Gareth A. Davies on the UFC on FUEL TV 8 post-fight show that he has his eyes on Nate Diaz. With a 2005 unanimous decision win over current welterweight No. 1 contender Nick Diaz under his belt, Sanchez wants to take out younger brother Nate and become the first man to beat both Stockton natives. Diaz is currently scheduled to fight Josh Thomson at UFC on FOX 7 on April 20, 2013, but if he comes out on top it's entirely possible a fight with Sanchez could take place, especially because the Diaz bothers don't take call-outs too kindly. Despite bringing very different personalities to the table, the two men come from common beginnings in the UFC, as they were both winners of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) reality show. There have been several occasions in the past where TUF winners have squared off inside the Octagon; however, one could make an argument that Sanchez vs. Diaz would be one of the most anticipated of them all.
