Report: UFC signs undefeated Chinese bantamweight Jumabieke Tuerxun

The International roster continues to expand...

"Mongolian Wolf?" Soooo 2010.

This is the year of the "Wild Wolf," Jumabieke Tuerxun, who is now the latest addition to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) roster, according to a recent report from Sohu Sports, which laughs in the face of Google translate.

The undefeated bantamweight (14-0) out of Xi'an, Shaanxi, China, has been lighting dudes up on the International circuit, notching wins in cool-sounding promotions like Ranik Ultimate Fighting Federation (RUFF), Legend Fighting Championship (LFC) and Top of the Forbidden City (TFC).

Why is this important?

The world's leading mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion recently launched its Chinese-language website (see it here) and has plans to (eventually) bring its Ultimate Fighter (TUF) reality show to China. Last year, UFC dipped its toe in the water with "Macao" on FUEL TV.

Good for China, bad for Rich Franklin.

No timetable has been established for Tuerxun's debut, but stay tuned to for more details on his fighting future as they become available.
