Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is will finally pull the pin on its most anticipated pay-per-view (PPV) event of the year, UFC 159, TONIGHT (Sat., April 27, 2013) from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on April 27, 2013.

UFC 159: "Jones vs. Sonnen" features a light heavyweight headlining title fight between The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 17 coaches Jon Jones vs. Chael Sonnen, while middleweight strikers and perennial contenders Michael Bisping vs. Alan Belcher hook 'em up in the co-main event.

That's not all ... not even close.

UFC 159 PLAY-BY-PLAY MAIN CARD COMMENTARY (PPV):

UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones vs. Chael Sonnen

Round one: Sonnen goes right after Jones and Jones takes him down. Sonnen works his way back to his feet and Sonnen scores with some short uppercuts on the inside. Jones clinches along the fence and Sonnen throws some knees on the inside. Jones drops down with a takedown and dumps Sonnen on his back. Sonnen eats an elbow but works his way back to his feet and Jones remains clinched. Sonnen throws a few shots to the back of the head and Jones is working for his third takedown. Big uppercut from Jones and then a spinning elbow. Jones works some uppercuts to the body and he's still got Sonnen pressed into the fence. Big takedown from Jones and he's inside Sonnen's closed guard. Elbow from Jones and he throws a right hand over the top of Sonnen's defense. Left elbow from Jones and then a big right elbow. Jones wraps up Sonnen's arm and smacks him with some big elbows. Sonnen is turtled up along the fence and Jones just unloads huge shots postured up. The ref steps in and puts a stop to it.

Final result: Jon Jones defeats Chael Sonnen via TKO at 4:33 of round one

Alan Belcher vs. Michael Bisping

Round one: Belcher wings a head kick but hits air. Belcher is being the aggressor early, stepping forward and flashing his jab repeatedly as Bisping works from his back foot. Good body kick from Belcher and Bisping responds with a crisp right. Side kick to he body from Belcher and Bisping steps forward with a right but Belcher backs him off with another kick to the body. Leg kick from Bisping and he works a body kick as well. Neither man has landed anything significant yet as they're both still trying to get in their groove. Outside leg kick from Belcher and Bisping throws a combination and then a huge overhand right that lands solidly. Belcher scores with a right of his own and Bisping responds with an outside leg kick. Bisping connects with a left jab and then a left hook, backing Belcher off with a right hand. Nice 1-2 from Bisping and Belcher needs to up his work rate. Eye poke from Belcher and Bisping trips him during a kick attempt. Left jab from Bisping and then a right hand as the horn sounds. 10-9 Bisping

Round two: Outside leg kick from Bisping and then another. Belcher isn't doing much here and Bisping connects with a stiff right hand. Another outside leg kick scores and he's just outworking Belcher here. Left hook scores for Bisping and then a right hand. He's really taking it to Belcher at the beginning of this round. Belcher whiffs with a heavy right and Bisping knocks him off balance with a combination. Another right hand scores for Bisping and he keeps it up with a 1-2. Combination from Bisping and Belcher can't get anything going. Belcher wings a leg kick and Bisping has settled in nicely here, landing nearly everything he throws. Belcher scores with a right but Bisping fires back with about six solid shots of his own. Very nice left hook scores for Bisping and Belcher is getting punished for keeping his hands low. Left hand from Belcher and then a good right. Another right from Belcher and Bisping responds with a pair of good right hands. Bisping unloads with a combination before the horn. 10-9 Bisping

Round three: Bisping is just having his way with Belcher here to start out the round. Belcher tries to unload a 1-2 but Bisping dodges and fires back with a big right hand of his own. It's one-way traffic for Bisping and he scores with some heavy right hands. Those right hands from Bisping are connecting at will but Belcher isn't going down. More heavy shots from Bisping and Belcher is wilting but he's not going down. Belcher shoots in for a takedown but Bisping stuffs it easily and throws a short combination before backing off. Bisping lands a horrific eye poke with 30 seconds left and they're going to bring the doctor in. They've called a stop to the fight so it'll go to the scorecards.

Final result: Michael Bisping defeats Alan Belcher via technical decision (30-27 x2, 29-28)

Cheick Kongo vs. Roy Nelson

Round one: Nelson catches a kick and initiates a clinch along the fence. Nelson has Kongo pressed into the cage and Kongo fires back with some knees but doesn't have much room to work with. They get separated and Kongo is trying to play it safe on the outside and Nelson steps forward with a massive overhand right that drops him. Nelson nails him with a shot on the ground and Kongo slumps face-first. Nelson does it again!

Final result: Roy Nelson defeats Cheick Kongo via knockout (overhand right) at 2:03 of round one

Phil Davis vs. Vinny Magalhaes

Round one: Head kick from Magalhaes and he's really going after Davis with kicks early. They trade kicks and Magalhaes scores with an outside leg kick. They clinch and Davis shrugs him off as both trade strikes on the outside. Davis is working a 1-2 and he connects with a head kick. Davis steps forward with some punches and Magalhaes is still a bit wobbly. Davis doesn't force it and they reset. Leg kick from Davis and Magalhaes takes him down, taking his back and dropping a right hand. Magalhaes has a hook in but he can't get both as he was a bit sloppy there. Davis pops back to his feet and goes back to work with his 1-2 combinations. Leg kick from Magalhaes and Davis pours it on with some good punching attacks from multiple angles. Leg kick from Magalhaes and Davis is defending well. There's an eye poke but the ref didn't see it and they have to fight on. Leg kick from Magalhaes and Davis is being aggressive with his punches. 10-9 Davis

Round two: Davis lands a right hand over the top and presses forward with some uppercuts to put Davis on the defensive. Davis fires off a front kick but it comes up short. Good 1-2 from Davis and he gets inside, trying to take Magalhaes down and Magalhaes drops to his back. Davis backs off and they return to standing. Good right hand from Davis and he lands a left uppercut. Head kick from Davis is blocked but it still did some damage. Davis definitely looks like he's the fresher fighter here. Magalhaes lunges forward with some aggression but can't connect anything solid. Good leg kicks from Magalhaes but Davis responds with some punching combinations. Davis is really starting to work his lead left jab. He catches a kick from Magalhaes but doesn't dive into his guard. Good right hand to the body by Davis and he's the much busier fighter on the feet. Magalhaes works some leg kicks but Davis just keeps popping him with the left jab. Magalhaes shoots in for a takedown but Davis scrambles and escapes. Magalhaes is tired and Davis pops him with left jabs until the horn sounds. 10-9 Davis

Round three: Davis continues to pressure Magalhaes with jabs and occasional follow-up right hands. Leg kick from Magalhaes but the jabs from Davis are just stopping him in his tracks. Davis backs Magalhaes into the fence and unloads a series of shots as Magalhaes covers up. The left jab from Davis has no answer right now. Right hand to the body by Davis and Magalhaes tries to respond with a leg kick but the volume of Davis is trumping Magalhaes badly. Magalhaes dives forward with a takedown attempt but Davis dodges danger easily. Magalhaes needs a miracle here in the final minute and he scores a leg kick but backs off. Davis keeps popping the jab and he blocks a head kick as time expires. 10-9 Davis

Final result: Phil Davis defeats Vinny Magalhaes via unanimous decision (30-27 x2 29-28)

Pat Healy vs. Jim Miller

Round one: Miller opens with a lead right hand and Healy fires back. Miller goes to the body with a left and staggers Healy with a leg kick. Big straight left for Miller and he's popping Healy with the left hand over and over again. They clinch briefly but Miller forces a separation with some hard short strikes. Leg kick from Miller and he unloads a combination, tossing Healy to his back with some serious power. He lands inside Healy's guard and Healy has a high guard, trying to be tricky. Healy works for an armbar and an omaplata and Miller drops down thinking about an armbar from the crucifix position. Miller has a grip on Healy's arm and he's trying to extend it but Healy escapes. Knee to the body from Healy and Miller goes low with a leg kick. Healy fires back with a body kick and he closes the distance, taking Miller down along the fence. Miller turtles and Healy drops some right hands. Miller stands up but Healy slams him to the canvas, taking his back briefly but Miller spins into him. Healy works for an armbar but Miller pounds him with some huge right hands at the end of the round. Healy is woozy and bleeding as he heads to his corner. 10-9 Miller

Round two: Healy steps forward aggressively and Miller responds with a right hook. Healy initiates a clinch, takign inside position and briefly tripping Miller but Miller grabs an underhook and gets back to his feet, taking inside position along the fence. Healy lands an elbow as they separate. They clinch again and Miller scores with a huge elbow but Healy uses his momentum to take him down. Healy dives into Miller's guard and drops some right hands. Healy drops a few elbows from above and then a right hand. Good right hands from above by Healy and Miller's bleeding now. Miller is hunting for submissions but eating ground strikes. Miller tries to stand and Healy gets a hook in working to take his back. Good left hands from Healy and he nearly grabs a choke but Miller squirms free, giving up mount. Miller pushes off the fence and sweeps him but Healy is tenacious, working for a single leg takedown. Healy completes it and now he's on top but Miller is working for a choke. They get back to standing as Healy throws a knee and Healy throws some big shots at the end of the round along the fence. 10-9 Healy

Round three: Miller scores with a right hook and Healy responds with a left. Takedown attempt from Healy but Miller shrugs him off after some effort. Both men have lost a step here in the third. Miller is working for a lead uppercut but Healy pushes him into the fence, scoring a knee to the body but Miller backs away. Inside leg kick from Miller and Healy pops him with a left hand. They clinch and Healy throws a knee, dragging Miller to the canvas. Healy throws a steady diet of left hands from above as he's on top in half guard. Left elbows from Healy and he's thinking about an arm triangle but he's not in the proper position. Miller works some rubber guard but Healy drops a left hand and then some more to the body. More punches from Healy and he's in complete control right now, dropping left hands on Miller. Healy takes Miller's back and he's working for a choke. He locks in a rear naked choke and Miller goes unconscious! WOW!

Final result: Pat Healy defeats Jim Miller via submission (rear naked choke) at 4:02 of round three

Rustam Khabilov vs. Yancy Medeiros

Round one: Medeiros opens by taking control of the cage center. He wings a leg kick and is working to score with straight punches. Khabilov is looking for an opportunity to get inside and go to work but Medeiros is keeping him at bay for now. Khabilov catches a kick and quickly gets behind Medeiros. He tries to suplex Medeiros but can't throw him with authority. Khabilov tries to toss him again but Medeiros actually escapes back to his feet. They stop the bout briefly to look at Medeiros' hand and it appears he's dislocated his thumb. They stop the fight. Ughhhhhh.

Final result: Rustam Khabilov defeats Yancy Medeiros via TKO (thumb injury) at 2:32 of round one

Ovince St. Preux vs. Gian Villante

Round one: St. Preux opens with a head kick. He attempts another and Villante catches it, working for a takedown but St. Preux avoids being dropped to his back by gripping the top of the cage. They reset in the cage center and trade low kicks. St. Preux steps forward with a combination but nothing clean connects. St. Preux lands some heavy punches and Villante is rocked but he clinches to clear himself up. St. Preux has inside position along the fence and he throws a knee to the body before resetting. St. Preux throws a heavy lead left hook but it's blocked. He steps forward with a combination and Villante initiates a clinch working for a takedown. It looks like Villante has him dead to rights with a takedown but St. Preux avoids it. They reset and St. Preux scores with a straight left. St. Preux shoots in fo ra takedown but Villante stuffs it and he's got inside position along the fence. Villante scores with an elbow on the break and connects with an outside leg kick. Head kick from Villante is blocked and they don't do much until the horn. 10-9 St. Preux

Round two: Huge leg kick from Villante drops St. Preux to open the round. St. Preux gets to his feet and connects with a straight left. Villante goes back to the leg kick and then another and St. Preux is trying to time it and respond with a straight left. Big inside leg kick from Villante and he's really working those kicks. If they keep connecting, they could do some damage. St. Preux shoots in for a takedown from the outside and Villante stuffs it easily, throwing an elbow and a short combination as they break. Head kick from Villante and St. Preux responds with a right hand. Villante scores with a pair of huge leg kicks and St. Preux looks like he's fading a bit here. St. Preux connects with a left hand and the crowd is not feeling this fight. Leg kick from Villante and then another. This fight is pretty sloppy. Leg kick from Villante and he scores with a lead right hand. 10-9 Villante

Round three: Villante gets poked in the eye by St. Preux and he tells the ref he can't see about two seconds after it happens and the ref stops the fight. Wow that was awful.

Final result: Ovince St. Preux defeats Gian Villante via majority technical decision (30-28, 30-29, 29-29)

Sheila Gaff vs. Sara McMann

Round one: Gaff charges forward and immediately gets taken down by McMann. McMann drops a few short right and left hands but is stuck inside Gaff's guard. McMann stays on top for three minutes not doing much and they get stuood up. Gaff throws some knees as they clinch and McMann is working for a takedown against the fence. Good knees from Gaff but McMann takes her down and passes to side control. McMann has a mounted crucifix and Gaff can't break free. McMann is just dropping right hands from above and the ref puts a stop to it.

Final result: Sara McMann defeats Sheila Gaff via TKO (unanswered punches) at 4:06 of round one

Johnny Bedford vs. Bryan Caraway

Round one: Left hook from Caraway and he pokes Bedford accidentally. Now he's really looking for the left hook every time Bedford initiates. Bedford steps forward with a right hand and Caraway grabs a body lock, clinching and dragging Bedford to the ground. Bedford has wrist control but Caraway has both hooks in on the ground. Caraway switches to a body triangle and Bedford sits up, exploding to his feet. Left hook from Caway and Bedford connects with a right hand and a body kick. Bedford loads up with a huge body shot and he's throwing a lot more aggressively now trying to gain ground. Bedford steps forward with a lunging combination but can't connect with anything. They exchange and Caraway scores with an uppercut and Bedford blasts him with a couple good shots. Caraway shoots in for a takedown with 10 seconds left and drops some elbows from top position. 10-9 Caraway

Round two: Caraway shoots in quickly but Bedford backs him off with a knee. Left hand from Caraway and he's pawing with his lead left hook. Bedford has control of the cage center and he's winging some shots, scoring with a right hand and a knee. Bedford has some swelling around his right eye and he scores with a left jab and an outside leg kick. Huge leg kick from Bedford and he's being a bit reckless with his attack. Caraway shoots in for a takedown and he completes it this time, landing inside Bedford's guard. Bedford throws some elbows from bottom but Caraway passes to side control. Bedford retains half guard. Caraway stays on top until time expires. 10-9 Caraway

Round three: They trade on the feet briefly and Caraway scores another takedown. Caraway is looking to pass but Bedford hits a switch on him although Caraway just grabs a single leg and drives back into top position. Bedford attacks with a triangle choke and then transitions to an armbar but Caraway utilizes some very technical escapes to avoid danger. Caraway is hunting for a guillotine and he gives up top position, dropping to his back with a full guard attack. Caraway squeezes tight and he has it locked up, rolling over into full mount and Bedford taps!

Final result: Bryan Caraway defeats Johny Bedford via submission (guillotine) at

Leonard Garcia vs. Cody McKenzie

Round one: McKenzie closes the distance and soots in for a takedown immediately, dumping Garcia on his keister along the fence. Garcia works back to his feet but McKenzie has a reverse body lock and he dumps Garcia on the ground again. McKenzie takes Garcia's back and he's got both hooks in, transitioning to a body triangle. McKenzie works for a choke but Garcia shoves the forearm off his neck. McKenzie drops some punches from behind and he works for a neck crank but Garcia gets free again. They roll but McKenzie remains plastered to his back. Garcia starts to turn into McKenzie and nearly gets caught in an arm triangle but this frees him from the back mount as McKenzie is on top inside his guard. Garcia gets to his feet but McKenzie lands a big left hand and locks up a triangle choke but can't finish it as time expires. 10-8 McKenzie

Round two: Head kick whiffs for McKenzie and he shoots in for a single leg but Garcia stuffs it. They clinch and McKenzie drops for a takedown and Garcia gets dumped on his back. Garcia tries to get to his feet but McKenzie is remaining heavy. Garcia steps over and pops back to his feet and he's got three minutes to work. Leg kick from Garcia and he connects with a left hand. McKenzie clinches and Garcia gives up his back standing, and McKenzie falls backwards, taking his back with a body triangle on the ground. McKenzie is jut all over Garcia, but he can't get a finish. Right hands coming in heavy from McKenzie and Garcia tries to dump him on his head but can't escape the position. 10-9 McKenzie

Round three: Head kick from Garcia to get things started and he's got to do something drastic if he wants to win. McKenzie dives for a takedown but can't get it and they're back to standing. Head kick from Garcia is blocked and Garcia attempts another that glances. Nice right hand from Garcia and a head kick is partially blocked. McKenzie scores with a straight left and Garcia shrugs off a takedown attempt. Right hand from Garcia and he's just throwing with reckless abandon. McKenzie dogs him a bit with a taunt and Garcia drops his hands, eating a couple punches. Right hand from Garcia and then a body kick and McKenzie scores with a knee to the body. Head kick from Garcia just misses and McKenzie shoots in for a takedown, tripping Garcia and taking top position. McKenzie takes top position in half guard, dropping some elbows. Garcia tries to sweep him but gets his back taken again as time expires. 10-9 McKenzie

Final result: Cody McKenzie defeats Leonard Garcia via unanimous decision (30-27x2, 29-28)

Kurt Holobaugh vs. Steven Siler

Round one: Good pair of kicks from Holobaugh early and Siler responds with some heavy punches. They're both bringing it hard and heavy and Holobaugh lands some heavy short strikes to the body. They clinch and Siler throws some knees to the body and a takedown attempt backs him off. Heavy leg kick lands from Holobaugh and they clinch again. Holobaugh lands some body punches but Siler puts him in the Thai plum and scores some knees to the body and some short elbows. Siler changes levels and takes Holobaugh down with authority and he takes Holobaugh's back with over half the round remaining. Siler has both hooks in and he's postured up looking to drop some good punches from behind. Siler drops some elbows to the body and he's just teeing off with some punches from behind. Holobaugh stands, but Siler is still on his back, adjusting his position and keeping both hooks in. Holobaugh is bleeding now. Holobaugh tries to roll and escape and Siler has the choke locked in but somehow Holobaugh doesn't tap out and Siler gives up on the choke. Siler transitions to a body triangle and drops some more punches as time expires. 10-8 Siler

Round two: Holobaugh comes out swinging and Siler changes levels and Holobaugh attacks with a guillotine choke but can't lock it in tight enough. Siler takes top position and Holobaugh throws elbows from bottom and threatens with a triangle choke. Siler backs off and Holobaugh powers him to the ground, landing a heavy left hand but Siler briefly sweeps him and they're back to standing. Holobaugh catches Siler with a huge right hand and he's rocked! Holobaugh attacks with another guillotine choke but Siler escapes and Holobaugh is on top now. SIler throws some up kicks and Holobaugh lands some massive punches and elbows from top position. Another big elbow from Holobaugh and Siler is bloodied up now. SIler throws good up kicks and Holobaugh backs off and they both return to the stand-up. Both of them wing heavy punches at each other as Siler scores a right hand and Holobaugh connects with some great leg kicks. Nice right hand from Holobaugh and Siler attempts a takedown but Holobaugh stuffs him and takes top position, dropping right hands until the end of the frame. 10-9 Holobaugh

Round three: Leg kicks from Holobaugh and he's landing them with authority. Siler steps forward with punches to the body and they clinch. Siler is looking to get the Thai clinch but Holobaugh fends him off for now. Holobaugh throws some knees to the inside and some body shots. Elbow from Holobaugh and they're really working here in the clinch. They both trade punches and Siler scores with a left hook. Holobaugh connects with a right hand and attempts a takedown but Siler takes top position and mounts him. Oh this is bad for Holobaugh. Holobaugh gives up his back and SIler has both hooks in and he switches to a body triangle. Siler is working for a neck crank but Holobaugh is toughing this out. Siler stays in dominant position until the end of the fight, dropping punches from back mount. 10-9 Siler

Final result: Steven Siler defeats Kurt Holobaugh via unanimous decision (29-28 x3)
