Video: Chael Sonnen makes his UFC on FUEL TV 8 predictions

UFC light heavyweight Chael Sonnen gives official predictions for Lombard vs. Okami, Gomi vs. Sanchez, Struve vs. Hunt and Silva vs. Stann at UFC on FUEL TV 8 tonight (March 2, 2013) in Saitama, Japan.

While Chael Sonnen is currently a coach on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 17 reality show and training for his UFC 159 title fight against Jon Jones, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight No. 1 contender has a third role - analyst on the weekly UFC news program "UFC Tonight" on FUEL TV.

Sonnen, alongside co-host Kenny Florian, provides insight and an expert opinion to the FUEL TV audience regarding anything and everything in the world of mixed martial arts (MMA).

With UFC on FUEL TV 8: "Silva vs. Stann" going down tonight (March 2, 2013) in Saitama, Japan, Sonnen was required to give his official predictions for the four leading bouts on the card during the most recent edition of "UFC Tonight."

On top of his already famous "Blade Runner" comments regarding the Wanderlei Silva vs. Brian Stann main event, Sonnen also shared his opinion on key middleweight, lightweight and heavyweight bouts set to go down in "The Land of the Rising Sun."

Watch the video above, or read below for a transcription of Sonnen's predictions:

Hector Lombard vs. Yushin Okami:
"Yushin out strikes him, the grappling gets nullified - Okami by three-round decision."

Takanori Gomi vs. Diego Sanchez:
"You know, Diego's going to box him up, I think Takanori Gomi has just a hard enough head to make this exciting, but ultimately Sanchez wins."

Stefan Struve vs. Mark Hunt:
"Stefan Struve is better everywhere. He's younger, he's faster, he's got a longer reach but he keeps his chin up and in an upset Mark Hunt will knock him out."

Wanderlei Silva vs. Brian Stann:
"Wanderlei's heart is big, but his chin is more suspect than Blade Runner. Brian Stann, the All-American, KO's him in the first."

MMAmania.com will provide LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire card on fight night (Sat., March 2, 2013), starting with the Facebook "Prelims," which are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. ET, as well as the main card, which is slated to air at 10 p.m. ET on FUEL TV.
