Georges St. Pierre vs. Nick Diaz fight results UFC 158, Round 3

The most highly anticipated fight in a long, long time finally went down tonight (Sat., March 16, 2013) at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, with Nick Diaz challenging welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre in the main event of UFC 158 live on pay-per-view.

Round three opened with Diaz calling St. Pierre a bitch and the commentary team pointing it out as much as possible. The champion tried to stay focused and fired off a few jabs but failed on his next takedown attempt.

A turning of the tide perhaps?

Nope. Within the next 20 seconds, "GSP" got his arms around his foe and put his ass right back on the mat. Diaz crawled his way to the fence this time, using it to once again get back to his feet. It was there that he finally found some measure of success by going to the body and working some leg kicks from the outside.

Then, St. Pierre looked for another takedown but failed on yet another one. Diaz wasn't capitalizing, however, as "Rush" was actually hitting a straight right or two.

It got odd really quick, though.

St. Pierre looked up at the clock and appeared, dare I say it, a bit tired. Diaz started laying some shots into him and they looked to hit their mark. It became clear they did on "GSP's" next takedown when blood came spurting out of his face all over Diaz's back.
