The Ultimate Fighting Championship's (UFC) next fight card in the country of Brazil is nearly complete with the addition of a flyweight contest, as Jussier Formiga vs. Chris Cariaso will go down at UFC on FX 8, scheduled for May 18, 2013, at Arena Jaragua in Santa Catarina, Brazil.

Both fighters will be looking to get back in the win column after suffering decisively losses in their last bouts, respectively.

Brazilian news outlet TATAME first reported news of the match up; however, UFC officials have yet to confirm the 115-pound contest.

Formiga (14-2) is the No. 5 ranked flyweight on the planet according to official UFC rankings, despite never recording a win inside the Octagon. John Dodson knocked out the Brazilian in his UFC debut at UFC on FX 5 last Octagon, marking just the second defeat of his eight-year career.

The 27-year-old was viewed as one of the top two or three 115-pound fighters on the planet upon entering the UFC in 2012, and after a rough start with the organization will look to solidify that status with a win in his home country of Brazil, where he is an undefeated 11-0.

Cariaso (14-4) is also a top-10 flyweight fighter, coming in at No. 7 on the official UFC rankings. The 31-year-old has only been defeated by the best of the best in his UFC career, dropping fights to interim bantamweight champion Renan Barao, former No. 1 bantamweight contender Michael McDonald and current flyweight No. 1 contender John Moraga.

Prior to his last loss, "Kamikaza" had strung together three-straight wins inside the Octagon and will be hungry to get back on track when he fight in Brazil for the first time in his career.

UFC on FX 8: "Belfort vs. Rockhold" goes down May 18, 2013, at Arena Jaragua in Santa Catarina, Brazil. The event headliner will see Vitor Belfort welcome Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold to the organization in a five-round contest. Also on the undercard, Constantinos Philippou and Ronaldo Souza have agreed to tangle.
