'Quit trying to be me:' UFC 159's Chael Sonnen responds to Tweets from 'Octomom' Jon Jones

On Tuesday's (March 12, 2013) edition of "UFC Tonight" on FUEL TV, Chael Sonnen responded to Jon Jones' recent comments that predicted UFC 159 would be the last title fight of Sonnen's mixed martial arts (MMA) career.

You knew it wouldn't take long.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight No. 1 contender, Chael Sonnen, was quick to fire back to champion Jon Jones' recent tweet that stated the April 27, 2013, title collision between the two at UFC 159: "Jones vs. Sonnen" would be the last title fight of Sonnen's mixed martial arts (MMA) career.

Not only that, but "Bones" also stated he is going to defeat Sonnen in a fashion unlike anyone in his opponent's 40-fight career.

"This will be Chael Sonnen's last chance at a title and I am going to train that way," Jones wrote on his official Twitter account. "I will dominate my opponent in a way that no one has seen before."

Knowing Sonnen, such statements could not possibly go without a response. And on Tuesday's (March 12, 2013) edition of "UFC Tonight" on FUEL TV, the 35-year-old took a few shots of his own, telling his future foe to give up the social media, as well as taking a lighthearted shot at the champion for the birth of his most recent child.

His words:

"Jon, stop tweeting. Quit trying to be me. It makes you appear stupid, and just gives me material to ridicule you with...If Jon Jones, a potted cactus and a slice of pizza from my oven were all on ‘Jeopardy,' Jon Jones would not make the final round. Now, on a lighter note; Jon, you had another baby, and in seriousness, congratulations. At this rate, by this time next year you will be the ‘octamom of the octagon.'"

What do you think of Sonnen's response? Did you expect more? Did he take it easy on Jones?

UFC 159: "Jones vs. Sonnen" goes down at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., on April 27, 2013. Along with the 205-pound title headliner, a clash of middleweight contenders will serve as the co-main event as Michael Bisping takes on Alan Belcher.
