Match ups are slowly beginning to trickle in for UFC on FUEL TV 10 this summer as a middleweight bout between Karlos Vemola and Caio Magalhaes has been agreed to for the June 8, 2013, event, set to go down at Ginasio Paulo Sarasate in Fortaleza, Brazil.
Both men are coming off of losses and are on the lower tier of the weight class, meaning they could be fighting for their job at the event.
Brazilian news outlet TATATE first reported the bout; however, UFC officials have yet to confirm the 185-pound contest.
Vemola (9-3) has had tremendous difficulty finding consistency in the Octagon over his six-fight Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) stint, alternating wins and losses with his most recent bout being a submission defeat to Francis Carmont.
When Vemola came into the UFC, he was competing as a heavyweight, and after a brief stint in the light heavyweight division, it appears the 27-year-old has finally found his true home at 185-pounds.
Magalhaes (5-1) will need to prove he has more to offer as a mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter than what he showed in his UFC debut against Buddy Roberts in June 2012. The Brazilian was thoroughly beaten in the fight and did not look UFC caliber.
At only 25 years of age and returning to the Octagon from what will be a one-year layoff, "Hellboy" may have used his time off to further evolve as a fighter.
It is unknown at this time if Vemola vs. Magalhaes will take place on the main card, which airs on FUEL TV, or the preliminary portion of the card, which is likely to stream on Facebook.
UFC on FUEL TV 10 is expected to feature a heavyweight main event -- and rematch -- between Antonio Rodrigo Noguiera and Fabricio Werdum, the two Brazilians who are serving as coaches on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): Brazil 2.
