UFC 160: Mike Pyle vs. Gunnar Nelson on tap for May 25 in Las Vegas

Two welterweights will battle for the right to get themselves in the 170-pound "mix" at UFC 160 over the Memorial Day Weekend. Will "Gunni" sink against "Quicksand?"

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) continues to fill up its upcoming UFC 160: "Velasquez vs. Bigfoot 2" pay-per-view (PPV) fight card, today confirming a welterweight match-up between longtime veteran Mike Pyle and up-and-coming grappling phenom Gunnar Nelson for May 25, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Old school vs. new.

Pyle (24-8) is riding a three-fight winning streak that includes three finishes by way of knockout or technical knockout. The 37-year-old "Quicksand" was last seen beating the brakes off James Head at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 16 Finale back in December.

The old dog still has some new tricks.

He'll need them if he goes to the ground with Nelson (11-0), a decorated grappler out of Iceland. "Gunni" is 2-0 under the UFC banner, choking out DaMarques Johnson prior to his unanimous decision win over Jorge Santiago last month in London.

Who ya' got?

UFC 160 will feature the second showdown between UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez and 265-pound "Bigfoot" Antonio Silva. Former division kingpin Junior dos Santos will try to get back into the title picture against Alistair Overeem while Glover Teixeira makes his case for a run at the 205-pound title opposite Ryan Bader.
