Bellator Fighting Championships returns TONIGHT (Feb. 28, 2013) at the Maverik Center in Santa Ana Star Center, New Mexico, with a featherweight tournament final and the season eight light heavyweight and welterweight tournament semifinals.
MMAmania.com will provide LIVE blow-by-blow, round-by-round coverage of Bellator 91 below, beginning with the Spike TV telecast at 10 p.m. ET. In addition, we'll deliver up-to-the-minute quick results of all the undercard action much earlier in the evening (beginning at 8 p.m. ET), as well as a live stream of the preliminary action.
Headlining the main event will be a Bellator Light Heavyweight title fight between champion Christian M'Pumbu and number one contender Attila Vegh. M'Pumbu has not fought in well over a year ever since dropping a unanimous decision to Travis Wiuff in a non-title "super-fight" at Bellator 55. Vegh was last seen winning the 2012 Bellator Summer Series light heavyweight tournament, knocking off Wiuff in the finals to earn his shot at the belt.
Also on tap will be the Bellator season eight Lightweight tournament semifinals which feature a pair of bouts including top prospect Will Brooks against upset-minded Saad Awad as well as a rematch between David Rickels and injury replacement Jason Fischer.
Lastly, the always entertaining Ed West returns to the Bellator cage against local New Mexico fighter Josh Montoya.
Complete Bellator 90 quick results, main card play-by-play and an online live video stream are posted below:

Hemmi here!
205 lb. title: Christian M'Pumbu vs. Attila Vegh
Round one: Both men in a long feeling out process to get things started and Vegh drops M'Pumbu with a big right hand. M'Pumbu takes him down to clear out the cobwebs but can't do much with it. M'Pumbu stays on top for a minute, but Vegh works his way back to his feet. M'Pumbu attempts a standing guillotine but isn't really threatening with it and Vegh and steps forward for the rest of the round although he can't do much in terms of offense. Pretty slow start. 10-9 Vegh
Round two: Vegh is countering M'Pumbu's offense well, timing his jab with combinations but M'Pumbu is not allowing him to exchange because he's avoiding trading on the feet for extended periods of time. M'Pumbu clinches but can't do anything with it and he pulls guard surprisingly. Vegh attempts a leg lock, but M'Pumbu escapes and takes top position, getting on Vegh's back in the final seconds and hunting for an armbar. 10-9 Vegh
Round three: Good uppercut from Vegh and M'Pumbu is dropped to his back again. Armbar attempt from M'pumbu but Vegh slips free. Triangle attempt from M'Pumbu allows Vegh to pass to side control and then he mounts him. Vegh drops down some elbows from top position and he's opened up a nice cut on M'Pumbu, finishing the round strong. 10-9 Vegh
Round four: M'Pumbu pulls guard again and Vegh drops some elbows from within his guard. M'Pumbu is bleeding now. M'Pumbu posts and gets to his feet but he can't get anything going in the stand-up as neither fighter is active but Vegh is in control overall. Takedown from M'Pumbu but there's no action and they get stood up. Man that round was slow-paced. 10-9 Vegh
Round five: The fifth round is brutal. Neither man really getting anything going and I nearly fell asleep about three times. It looked like Vegh was in control in the parts I remember. 10-9 Vegh
Final Result: Attila Vegh defeats Christian M'Pumbu via unanimous decision (48-47, 49-46, 50-45)

155 lbs.: Will Brooks vs. Saad Awad
Round one: Head kick from Brooks and they tie up in the cage center. Awad lands some heavy short shots on the inside, clipping Brooks in the temple and Brooks is staggered! Awad presses forward and really turns on the pressure and Brooks is not being given an opportunity to get his wits about him. More punches from Awad and Brooks goes down. He's trying to hang on for dear life with a single leg takedown attempt but Awad unloads hammer fists to the side of the head and then finishes him off with shots on the ground. Wow!
Final Result: Saad Awad defeats Will Brooks via knockout at 0:41 of round one
-end-
155 lbs.: David Rickels vs. Jason Fischer
Round one: Fischer wings a heavy right hand and Rickels grabs a body lock but backs off. Spinning back fist from Rickels and a nice right hand, then a jumping knee. He's really mixing up his attack to get things started. Fischer throws a left hand but eats a right counter from Rickels. Heavy combo from Fischer connects on Rickels' chin along the fence but he backs off and Rickels throws a knee on the inside. Leg kick from Rickels and Fischer responds with a clubbing right hand and a knee to the body. Left hand from Rickels and Fischer connects with an outside leg kick. They clinch in teh cage center and exchange short blows and Rickels really presses teh action with a big uppercut and a combination. Heavy pressure from Rickels and Fischer isn't enjoying that activity as he presses Fischer into the fence. Fischer's face is starting to swell up a bit and he presses Rickels into the cage until the round concludes. 10-9 Rickels
Round two:
Round three: Both men exchange early and Rickels has a nasty cut over his left eye which is bleeding pretty heavily. Fischer pursues a takedown along the cage and Rickels reverses the position and rains down big punches from top position. Rickels puts himself in prime position to lock in a Kimura but Fischer is defending himself well enough to avoid it. Rickels gives up on it and now is hunting for an arm triangle. He bails on the choke but postures up and hammers down punches from full mount. Fischer gives up his back and nearly gets choked out, but he hangs on. He spins back into guard and Rickels switches to an armbar. Again, Fischer escapes the hold, but he doesn't have enough time to turn the tables. 10-8 Rickels
Final Result: David Rickels defeats Jason Fischer via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27)
