UFC 157 bonuses and awards for 'Rousey vs. Carmouche' in Anaheim

The UFC handed out its usual three bonus awards to fighters coming out of the UFC 157: "Rousey vs. Carmouche" event last night (Sat., Feb. 23, 2013) in Anaheim, California, and all four were more than deserving.

Ron Chenoy-US PRESSWIRE

UFC 157: "Rousey vs. Carmouche" from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, has officially wrapped, which means it's time for those select fighters who went above and beyond in their respective fights to get a little extra grease for their efforts.

To the tune of $50,000 each.

The promotion dished out its standard post-fight monetary bonuses to three out of the 24 fighters on the card, and it's probably no surprise who's headed home with a second sack of simoleons.

If you missed the preliminary card, shame on you. Both the "Submission of the Night" -- Kenny Robertson nearly mangling Brock Jardine's leg with a sickening kneebar in the first round of their welterweight war -- and the "Fight of the Night" -- and utterly insane three round back-and-forth war of attrition that saw Dennis Bermudez survive the brink of death to take a split decision from Matt Grice.

It was bonkers, y'all, and a good lesson to get to the building or tune in early.

Rounding out the awards was Robbie Lawler earning "Knockout of the Night" for giving Josh Koscheck that far off look in his eyes, like the lights were on but nobody was home. That extra $50K found a home quick, though.

Here are the special fight bonuses for UFC 157:

Submission of the Night -- Kenny Robertson

Knockout of the Night -- Robbie Lawler

Fight of the Night -- Dennis Bermudez vs. Matt Grice

Again, each fighter received $50,000 extra for their performances in addition to their respective base salaries, which we will pass along as soon as possible.
