XFC 22 results: Scott Holtzman earns title shot against Nick Newell

Xtreme Fighting Championships (XFC) held its latest mixed martial arts event inside Grady Cole Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, last night (Feb. 22, 2013), featuring a lightweight bout in the main event between Scott Holtzman and Jason Hicks. Check out complete XFC 22 results below.

Xtreme Fighting Championship's (XFC) twenty-second mixed martial arts (MMA) event is in the books as last night (Feb. 22, 2013) the organization traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina, for XFC 22: "Crossing The Line" at the Grady Cole Center.

The event headliner was a lightweight bout that saw Scott Holtzman and Jason Hicks face off in a fairly one-sided three-round battle with Holtzman emerging victorious by unanimous decision and in the process, earning a title fight against undefeated one-armed sensation Nick Newell later this year.

The co-main event of the night was a welterweight contest that featured Ricky Rainey and Joseph Corneroll slug it out for 15-minutes with Rainey getting the nod from the judges in just the second fight of his career to go to a decision.
