Bellator Fighting Championships returns TONIGHT (Feb. 21, 2013) at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah, with a featherweight tournament final and the season eight light heavyweight and welterweight tournament semifinals.

MMAmania.com will provide LIVE blow-by-blow, round-by-round coverage of Bellator 90 below, beginning with the Spike TV telecast at 10 p.m. ET. In addition, we'll deliver up-to-the-minute quick results of all the undercard action much earlier in the evening (beginning at 8 p.m. ET), as well as a live stream of the preliminary action.

Headlining the main event will be a fight over two months in the making as the season seven featherweight tournament finally concludes with a battle between Russian striker Shahbulat Shamhalaev and American wrestler Rad Martinez, which was delayed when Shamhalaev was ill on fight night and unable to compete late last year.

Also on tap will be a pair of tournament semifinal bouts as the light heavyweight tournament continues with Muhammed Lawal taking on former MFC champion Emanuel Newton while young prospects Jacob Noe and Mikhail Zayats look to continue their Cinderella stories.

Last but not least, the welterweight tournament rolls on as former tourney winner Douglas Lima battles injury replacement and season five finalist Bryan Baker while Ben Saunders scores a rematch against the always dangerous Raul Amaya.

145 lbs.: Shahbulat Shamhalaev vs. Rad Martinez

Round one: Shamhalaev has control of the cage center early and he wings a leg kick to get things started. Martinez is trying to find an opening to get inside but he can't find one. Leg kick from Shamhalaev and then another on the outside. Martinez throws a few feints and Shamhalaev cracks him with a big left hand that hurts him but he doesn't follow up. Martinez gets back to his feet and eats another pair of leg kicks. Martinez counters a leg kick with a left hand over the top and then a leg kick of his own. Another low kick from Shamhalaev and Martinez comes up short with a push kick and a left hook. Martinez shoots in for a takedown and secures a double leg, dumping Shamhalaev on his back. Elbow from Martinez and he's trying to throw short strikes from within Shamhalaev's guard. Martinez pushes him against the fence and stays on top until the end of the round, but he didn't do enough damage in my opinion to win the round back. 10-9 Shamhalaev

Round two: Leg kick from Shamhalaev and he drops down with a nice right hand to the body. Shamhalaev goes over the top with a clubbing right hand that glances. Martinez is looking for a counter right hand on the feet but he should really shoot in for a takedown again because that worked last time. Head kick from Shamhalaev and Martinez is hurt. Martinez is wobbly and Shamhalaev throws a big knee and then another. HUGE right hand over the top and Martinez is knocked out cold. Daaaaaaaamn what a violent night of fights.

Final Result: Shahbulat Shamhalaev defeats Rad Martinez via knockout (overhand right) at 2:12 of round two

205 lbs.: King Mo vs. Emanuel Newton

Round one: Newton opens with a good right hand and a kick. He misses with right hand and throws a head kick but it's blocked. Newton steps forward and Mo lands a nice right hand on the inside. Left jab from Newton and he steps forward with a head kick. Mo is keeping his hands a little low and Newton is finding some success over the top. Right hand from Newton and he's starting to load up with it looking for a huge right hand. Newton throws a combination and Mo tries to counter but Newton catches Mo off guard with a PERFECT SPINNING BACK FIST! King Mo is out on his feet and he falls over in a heap. WOW. That was a HUGE upset!

Final Result: Emanuel Newton defeats Muhammed Lawal via knockout (spinning back fist) at 2:35 of round one

-end-

170 lbs.: Douglas Lima vs. Bryan Baker

Round one: Leg kick from Lima to get things started and then another. Outside leg kick from Lima staggers Baker and then he connects with one more. Baker needs to make something happen but he gets hit with another leg kick. Lima switches it up with a kick to the body but it misses. Lima steps in with a left hand but can't find a home. Overhand right from Lima is blocked. HUGE overhand right from Douglas Lima and Baker crumples into a heap. Wow!

Final Result: Douglas Lima defeats Bryan Baker via knockout (overhand right) at 2:34 of round one

-end-

205 lbs.: Mikhail Zayats vs. Jacob Noe

Round one: Zayats bounces around on the outside as Noe takes control of the cage center and paws with his lead left hook. Noe throws a leg kick and Zayats drops him with a perfectly timed right hand! Zayats follows Noe to the ground and is on top in half guard. Zayats throws a left hand to the body and Noe is bleeding badly out of his mouth, but Zayats is staying tight and not doing much damage. Zayats starts to posture up and drops a few short right hands on Noe, but goes back to staying chest to chest. Noe's breathing is very labored and he's just trying to hold on for dear life. Zayats passes to full mount and drops several right hands on Noe. Noe tries to scramble to his feet but Zayats stays on top. Zayats rolls for an armbar and he extends Noe's arm, forcing the tap!

Final Result: Mikhail Zayats defeats Jacob Noe via submission (armbar) at 3:38 of round one

-end-
