Last night, former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight champion Anderson Silva lost once again to Chris Weidman. The UFC 168 main event title fight ended in disappointment as Silva snapped his leg in two against Chris Weidman's knee.
Silva was carried out of the cage on a stretcher and had to undergo surgery to try and repair his leg. The surgery ended up being a success and Silva is expecting a three to six month recovery period before he can start training.
"The Spider" sent out an apology to Brazil for failing to regain the middleweight title on his twitter account.
Brasil sinto muito não queria ter desapontado vocês dei o meu melhor eu juro
— Anderson Silva (@SpiderAnderson) December 29, 2013
Which roughly translates into "Brazil, I am very sorry to have disappointed you, did my best I swear."
After his legendary UFC career, he has nothing to apologize for.
