UFC on FOX 9 payouts and salaries: Urijah Faber leads payday way, with Demetrious Johnson a close second

UFC on FOX 9 is in the books and payouts and salaries are in the checkbooks. Here's a complete list of last Saturday night's earnings for all the fighters competing at the "Johnson vs. Benavidez 2" FOX-televised event in Sacramento.

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Demetrious Johnson once again held down the UFC on FOX main event spotlight last night (Sat., Dec. 14, 2013), the third time "Mighty Mouse" has been tasked with such a high-profile assignment this year alone. And once again Johnson delivered, scoring the "Knockout of the Night" with a savage -- and shocking -- first round stoppage of Joseph Benavidez early in the first round (watch the replay here).

It was good enough to earn a handsome (and quick) $175,000 payday, but not enough to be the top bread winner once the lights dimmed on Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California.

That honor went to Urijah Faber, who smoked and then choked Michael McDonald in the co-main event en route to a second-round "Submission of the Night," earning a cool $200,000 and most likely another Bantamweight title shot in 2014 (watch the replay here).

Whether you like it or not.
