Vitor Belfort knocked out Dan Henderson in the very first round of their light heavyweight main event bout at tonight's (Sat., Nov. 9, 2013) UFC Fight Night 32: "Belfort vs. Henderson" event at the Goiania Arena in Goiania, Brazil, on Fox Sports 1. I will repeat that, my gentle snowflakes. Vitor Belfort knocked out Dan Henderson tonight, stopping the American via strikes for the very first time in his long and illustrious career. That spans nearly three decades and 39 professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fights. Age catches up to us all -- TRT aside -- and "The Phenom's" blinding speed is difficult to handle at the age of 20, let alone 43. The win also puts the Brazilian in the perfect position to demand a title shot, be it at middleweight against the winner of Chris Weidman vs. Anderson Silva, or light heavyweight, against the winner of Jon Jones vs. Glover Teixeira. Sure, he's lost to both Silva and Jones, but those are his only two losses since 2006 and he's been tearing up the cage with head kick knockout after head kick knockout. At some point, he'll have to be rewarded for all that hard work. But is that now? We shall see.
