Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson met once before, all the way back in 2006 before PRIDE shut its doors. That bout ended with the latter winning a decision in a grueling 15-minute affair. Now, seven years later, the two met again at tonight's (Sat., Nov. 9, 2013) UFC Fight Night 32 event in Goiania, Brazil, with a potential title shot -- at light heavyweight or middleweight -- up in the air.
Patience was the name of the game early in the first round.
Henderson took the center of the cage while Vitor circled to his left, a cardinal mistake made by many a knocked out opponents of "Hendo". Then, out of nowhere, Belfort let one of his hands go and it cleaned Henderson's clock.
With his speed and power, the follow up onslaught was simply too much to overcome.
