The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to Brazil tomorrow night (Nov. 9, 2013) with UFC Fight Night 32: "Henderson vs. Belfort" at the Goiania Arena in Goiania, Goias, Brazil. The main event is a five round light heavyweight fight between Dan Henderson and Vitor Belfort, a rematch from their clash at Pride 32 in 2006.
Henderson won a very one-sided unanimous decision and Belfort subsequently failed his post-fight drug test when 4-hydroxytestosterone was detected in his urine sample. Belfort was suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) for nine months, but ignored the punishment and went off to fight in the United Kingdom.
The bout is interesting as both Belfort and Henderson are advocates for and users of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). Added to the storyline is Dana White's comments that if Belfort loses Saturday night, it will have an impact on his standing in the middleweight title picture.
The UFC held open workouts for Brazilian fans and media to come and watch some of the main card fighters work to cut those last few pesky pounds. The UFC has compiled the highlights in this short video.
