The main event of tonight's (Wed., Nov. 6, 2013) UFC Fight Night 31: "Fight for Troops 3" event inside the Fort Campbell military base in Kentucky was supposed to feature Tim Kennedy battling Lyoto Machida in the latter's Middleweight debut.
Instead, we're getting the Army Ranger against Brazilian interloper Rafael Natal.
About the showdown, Kennedy had this to say:
"I love feeling guys physically and mentally break. Once they break, I can start pouring it on. I can physically and mentally break Rafael. 25 minutes is a long time to try to hang with me. I'll be on him the entire fight."
Natal's response:
"I hope so, I don't like easy fights. I am a tough guy, I never give up, and he's going to have the worst time in the cage in his life against me. It's not going to be an easy fight. Tim Kennedy has never been submitted but I think I will."
Hopefully it's fun, right?
See you then!
