When Gray Maynard steps inside the Octagon tonight (Sat., Nov. 30, 2013) at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, to take on Nate Diaz in a lightweight main event of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 18 Finale, it won't be the first time the two have squared off.
In fact, it won't even be the second.
No, this will be the third encounter between two perennial contenders who just never got over the championship hump. They have, however, had two exciting showdowns already.
The first took place in the TUF house during season six and saw Diaz submit "The Bully" with a guillotine. The second happened some three years later and saw Maynard score a split decision victory by outstriking the Stockton slugger.
Now, it's been another three years and that means it's time to do it again.
