Thoughts: First off, steer clear of specific rounds. That's how sportsbooks get you.

Honestly, I'm liking the odds on Pacquiao by decision (+210). While I called for a Pacquiao via technical knockout in my preview (read it here), that prediction was based on the assumption that the referee has some form of mercy, which is not always the case.

Rios is incredibly difficult to wobble, so a referee might be hesitant to stop the bout even if he's taking repeated, unanswered broadsides from Pacquiao.

Meanwhile, a corner stoppage is out of the question because Rios' trainer, Robert Garcia, showed zero concern for Antonio Margarito's well-being when Pacquiao gave him the beating of a lifetime. Pacquiao basically destroyed Margarito's left eye and Garcia still didn't intervene. It's hard to imagine the sort of punishment "Pac Man" would have to inflict to actually get Garcia to wave off the fight save for straight-up decapitating Brandon.

If you're a believer in human compassion and would rather bet straight-up, I still think Pacquiao is worth a look at -500. Barring some Roy Jones, Jr.-level degradation, Pacquiao is a nightmare match up for Rios, who lacks the ring generalship to apply the kind of pressure he'd need to wear down the Filipino.

Accordingly, anchoring a parlay with Manny wouldn't be the worst idea, either.
