Tim Kennedy makes his return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Octagon when he faces Rafael Natal in the main event of UFC Fight for the Troops 3 at Fort Campbell in Kentucky on Nov. 6, 2013. Kennedy was originally booked to face Lyoto Machida, but the bout was scrapped when Michael Bisping suffered an injury while preparing for Mark Munoz.
After calling out everyone on the UFC's roster, from heavyweights to bantamweights, Kennedy finally got a new opponent in "Sapo", who is currently riding a three-fight win streak.
Unfortunately, it seems like Kennedy has been preparing to face Rafael Nadal, one of the best tennis players on the planet. It was an honest mistake. After all, Rafael Nadal is known for his grown game and near-endless cardio. It would have been quite the matchup.
Luckily, the confusion was cleared up with just over a week to make adjustments to Greg Jackson's gameplan.
That would have been embarrassing.
