Cody Donovan vs. Gian Villante
Round one: Good evenin', errybody. We start with Villante walking out to Mister Johnny Cash, so he wins the music battle. Donovan seals his fate with what sounds like Dropkick Murphy's but isn't "Shipping up to Boston". Donovan in Red, Villante in black, Kim Winslow the ref. Donovan throws a right that goes too far behind the head of Villante and eats a punch because of it. Some quick dirty boxing from Villante. Jab from Donovan and a couple leg kicks from Villante. Left from Donovan. Leg kick from Donovan. High kick that partially landed. He tried it again and it got blocked. Solid right clips Villante. Villante lands a leg kick. Uppercut from Donovan and another leg kick from Villante. Donovan lands a right. Yet another hard leg kick from Gian. Donovan whiffs on a big right. Body kick from Donovan that lands, but Villante catches with 90 seconds left. Half guard and some short elbows. You can see the back of Donovan's thigh has foot marks from the kicks. Villante surprisingly stands up and lets Donovan stand. 45 seconds to go in the round. Villante drops his hands, but only briefly. Right and a left from Donovan onto the statue-like Villante. They trade body knees up against the fence to close it out.
10-9 Donovan
Round two: Donovan's first punch that lands is a solid right about 10 seconds in. They're trading 1's and 2's in the middle of the octagon. Cody tries a takedown and gets stuffed. He does back Villante back to the cage and they punch and knee. Donovan's got some bleeding from his eye from that trading just earlier. Oh boy, Donovan threw a high kick and Villante threw a haymaker right that landed under the temple just before the kick.
Final result: Gian Villante wins via TKO (punches) at 1:22 of round 2
