UFC Fight Night 32 medical suspensions and injuries: Hendo gets a month off, Thatch and Jason get six

Now that the dust has settled and the smoke has cleared, it's time to find out who's worse for the wear following the carnage at UFC Fight Night 32 this past weekend in Brazil.

USA TODAY Sports

The Brazilian Athletic Commission (CABMMA) today issued its list of injuries and medical suspensions for those fighters participating in the UFC Fight Night 32: "Belfort vs. Henderson" event, which took place last Saturday night (Nov. 9, 2013) at Goiania Arena in Goias, Brazil.

Not too bad, all things considered.

Most of the mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters competing on the FOX Sports 1 main card, as well as the Facebook "Prelims," were sat for a couple of weeks for precautionary reasons, including headliner Dan Henderson, who needs a month off from contact to recover from the brutal knockout he suffered against Vitor Belfort.

See it again here.

In fact, only two fighters hit the dreaded 180-day mark: Brandon Thatch and Rony Mariano Bezerra.

"Rukus" needs to have follow-up tests to determine if he received any significant damage to his ankle and shoulder, while "Jason" will need the time to recover from a serious arm injury suffered after punching through a wall, frustrated over his highlight-reel loss to Jeremy Stephens (see it).

Here is the full list of UFC Fight Night 32 medical suspensions (via MMA Fighting):

Vitor Belfort: Suspended 14 days (seven days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Dan Henderson: Suspended 45 days (30 days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Cezar Ferreira: Suspended 45 days (30 days no contact) for precautionary reasons.

Rafael Cavalcante: Suspended 14 days (seven days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Igor Pokrajac: Suspended 45 days (30 days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Paulo Thiago: Suspended 45 days (30 days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Brandon Thatch - Suspended 180 days or until cleared by physician following ankle magnetic resonance imagining and shoulder X-ray.
Santiago Ponzinibbio: Suspended 30 days (21 days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Ryan LaFlare: Suspended 30 days (321 days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Rony Jason - Suspended 180 days (arm laceration).
Jeremy Stephens: Suspended 21 days (14 days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Godofredo Pepey: Suspended 45 days (30 days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Sam Sicília: Suspended 14 days (seven days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Thiago Perpetuo: Suspended 45 days (30 days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Omari Akhmedov: Suspended 45 days (30 days no contact) for precautionary reasons.

Justin Salas: Suspended 14 days (seven days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Adriano Martins: Suspended 14 days (seven days no contact) for precautionary reasons.

Jose Maria Tome: Suspended 45 days (30 days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Dustin Ortiz: Suspended 14 days (seven days no contact) for precautionary reasons.

Again, just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases.
