Rafael Cavalcante picked up his first win in the Ultimate Fight Championship (UFC) when he was able to put a beat down on Igor Pokrajac at UFC Fight Night 32: "Belfort vs. Henderson" in Goiania, Brazil. It took just 78 seconds for Cavalcante to finish the fight.
The former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight champion entered the bout coming off a knockout loss to Thiago Silva at UFC on Fuel TV: "Nogueira vs. Werdum" this past June in Fortaleza, Brazil.
This fight may be one of the best beat 'em downs in beat 'em down history. Pokrajac offered little resistance as Cavalcante landed several unanswered knees to the body and head. As Pokrajac fell to the mat, "Feijao" continued to club him until the referee stepped in with the mercy stoppage.
Pokrajac is now 0-3-1 in his last four outings, with the no contest coming from UFC on FX: "Sotiropoulos vs. Pearson" opponent Joey Beltran testing positive for a banned substance. With this latest loss, it may be the last time we see Pokrajac in the Octagon.
