Dana White video blog for UFC Fight Night 29: 'Maia vs. Shields' on FOX Sports 1 in Brazil

Fight day! Blog day!

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White is back in front of the camera for his latest video blog, designed to help get mixed martial arts (MMA) fans amped for tonight's (Oct. 9, 2013) UFC Fight Night 29: "Maia vs. Shields" event on FOX Sports 1 from Jose Correa Arena in Barueri, Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Look back, to look ahead.

The focus of White's eight-minute film is the UFC 164 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which closed out the summer of 2013 with a lightweight championship change of hands, as Anthony Pettis dethroned Ben Henderson (again) in the main event of the evening.

Watch the highlights here.

The fact that "Showtime" is already booked to defend said strap against Josh Thomson at the UFC on FOX 9 event later this year in Sacramento (details), should give you an idea of just how fast things move in this business. And speaking of moving, the promotion will be heading to Houston (for this) just as soon as the curtain falls on tonight's spectacle.

Like popcorn on a skillet.

MMAmania.com will provide LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC Fight Night 29 fight card on fight night (Oct. 9, 2013), starting with the FOX Sports 1-televised under card bouts at 5 p.m. ET and then main card action (also on FOX Sports 1), which is slated to begin at 7 p.m. ET.
