Just Bleed! FOX Sports names top 20 bloodiest fights in UFC history

I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat. --Winston Churchill

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has seen some pretty gnarly fights over the course of its 20-year existence.

In fact, the world's largest mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion is set to mark its upcoming anniversary next month in "Sin City," when UFC 167: "St. Pierre vs. Hendricks" blows the doors off the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Nov. 16, 2013.

It's gonna be a doozy.

To help get fight fans amped for the big event. FOX Sports took advantage of the "20" theme and compiled a list of the 20 bloodiest fights in UFC history. Our cover photo of Chris Lytle after he was busted open by Josh Koscheck at UFC 68 (via Lift Studios), clocks in at number eight.

Here is the full list.

#20: Krzysztof Soszynski vs. Stephan Bonnar - UFC 110
#19: Jim Miller vs. Mac Danzig - UFC 100
#18: Randy Couture vs. Vitor Belfort - UFC 49
#17: Martin Kampmann vs. Diego Sanchez - UFC on Versus 3
#16: B.J. Penn vs. Diego Sanchez - UFC 107
#15: Jon Madsen vs. Abe Wagner - The Ultimate Fighter 10
#14: Josh Neer vs. Keith Wisniewski - UFC on Versus 6
#13: Rory Singer vs. Josh Haynes - UFC: Ortiz vs. Shamrock 3
#12: Donald Cerrone vs. K.J. Noons - UFC 160
#11: Joe Stevenson vs. Yves Edwards - UFC 61
#10: Sean Sherk vs. Kenny Florian - UFC 64
#9: Jeremy Stephens vs. Estevan Payan - UFC 160
#8: Josh Koscheck vs. Chris Lytle - UFC 86
#7: Stefan Struve vs. Dennis Stojnic - UFC 99
#6: Edwin DeWees vs. Gideon Ray - The Ultimate Fighter 4
#5: Jim Miller vs. Joe Lauzon - UFC 155
#4: Renato Sobral vs. David Heath - UFC 74
#3: Cain Velasquez vs. Antonio Silva - UFC 146
#2: B.J. Penn vs. Joe Stevenson - UFC 80
#1: Jonathan Goulet vs. Jay Hieron - UFC Ultimate Fight Night 2

Not surprisingly, UFC lightweight maniac Diego Sanchez appears twice on this list, as does B.J. Penn, Joe Stevenson and Jim Miller. While "Daddy" was put out to pasture back in 2011, there's no denying he -- as well as the rest of those guys -- knew how to throw down.

Just bleed!

Well, those are the popular choices, but it's limited to the UFC roster. Anybody have a fight (or fights) in PRIDE, Strikeforce or some other combat sports promotion that can hang with -- or surpass -- these 20 bleeders?

Let's hear it!
