Bellator 106, as recently as a week ago, looked drastically different from where the event stands today.
Originally set to go down on pay-per-view (PPV) this coming Saturday (Nov. 2, 2013), the event now airs live and free on Spike TV from the Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, California.
You can thank the injury bug for that.
Two key injuries forced Bellator to make the decision to scrap the heavily-debated main event of Tito Ortiz vs. Quinton Jackson altogether, and now you can add Karo Parisyan vs. Cristiano Souza to the list alongside Cheick Kongo vs. Vinicius Queiroz.
Fan of Souza? Hoping he gets the chance to rectify his exhibition loss on "Fight Master" to Evan Cutts?
Fear not!
The undefeated "Soldier Boy" (6-0) will now square off against Alejandro Garcia, who steps in on very short notice. Seems as if Bjorn Rebney had someone waiting in the wings in case Parisyan suffered one of his well-documented panic attacks.
As it stands now, the bout will be the first of six fights on the Spike TV portion of the event. The rest of the fight card is below and after seeing it in its entirety, I'm still all in.
