UFC Fight Night 30 results: Jimi Manuwa TKO's Ryan Jimmo ... sort of

Well, that was weird.

Jimi Manuwa came into today's (Sat., Oct. 26, 2013) UFC Fight Night 30: "Machida vs. Munoz" event at the Phones 4u Arena in Manchester, England, with an undefeated record at 13-0, all of those wins coming by way of finish and not one of them making it to the third round. His opponent today, Ryan Jimmo, has a reputation for memorable bouts for one reason or another.

In short, this one had the recipe for success. Or fun. Or awesomeness, whatever.

The first round was mostly slow, however, and consisted mainly of Manuwa taking his time and methodically attacking Jimmo's lower body. They spent a great deal of time clinched against the cage and while there, Manuwa went after the Canadian's legs.

He was limping once they came out of it.

Manuwa attempted to engage early in the second but the "Real Deal" was smart and clinched to maintain some semblance of control of where the fight took place. Everything was slow rolling from there until a really odd moment when Manuwa landed a hard knee and Jimmo bounced a couple times before dropping like he'd been shot.

And that'll do it.

Manuwa was awarded the victory via technical knockout. Disappointing finish, though.
