A pair of Ultimate Fighter contestants with whose fortunes couldn't have been further apart squared off today (Sat., Oct. 26, 2013) at the Phones 4u Arena in Manchester, England, on the main card of the UFC Fight Night 30: "Machida vs. Munoz" event, as TUF: The Smashes winner Norman Parke battled TUF 15 washout Jon Tuck.
Parke, as stated, won his season while Tuck suffered a disgusting broken toe trying to get into the TUF house. Both have earned Octagon victories since, however, leading them to this day.
The two started even enough, as Tuck took advantage of a punch to the eye in the early going. But Parke came back grappling and getting off strong with his left hand. The opening round may have been close but the second saw the former TUF winner take control of the cage.
The final frame saw both fighters mustering up whatever energy they had left to make something happen, especially Tuck. Parke remained in control for most of the latter two rounds while Tuck simply faded away.
When the judges decision came in it was in favor of Parke by scores of 29-28, 29-28, and 30-27.
