Video: Chael Sonnen will ask Anderson Silva to be his assistant coach against Wanderlei Silva on TUF Brazil

MEDIUM RARE.

"Who knows, I may reach out to Anderson and see if he wants to be on the coaching staff with me. Anderson Silva was one of my first thoughts to ask. And again, that wouldn't be for me or Anderson. That would be for the young men who are kicking and clawing and trying to get into the UFC. I think his knowledge of the sport is tremendous, but also his ability to communicate in a Portuguese atmosphere would be very helpful. I think he's got a relationship with Wanderlei, so it's probably not likely. But that doesn't mean I won't reach out."

Let bygones be bygones? Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight and UFC 167 co-headliner Chael Sonnen would still like a third crack against former middleweight nemesis Anderson Silva, but that doesn't mean they can't work together as coaches on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) Brazil, where "The American Gangster" will coach against Wanderlei Silva (details). While the idea of having "The Spider" -- who may have Chael as referee when he fights Chris Weidman at UFC 168 -- coaching against another Brazilian is unlikely, his relationship with "The Axe Murderer" has seen its share of ups and downs. First things first, UFC President Dana White has to decide whether or not to accept Wandy's latest and greatest offer. The reality show hasn't started yet, but we're already getting our share of drama.
