Gilbert Melendez vs. Diego Sanchez full fight video preview for UFC 166

Diego Sanchez has only fought four times in the past three years, leading in to his lightweight battle against Gilbert Melendez at tonight's (Sat., Oct. 19, 2013) UFC 166: "Velasquez vs. Dos Santos 3" pay-per-view (PPV) event at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

The good news? Three of those four bouts resulted in "Fight of the Night" honors.

We could be looking at something similar when he enters the Octagon later on this evening to take on Melendez, a former Strikeforce champion who came up short in his quest for UFC gold earlier this year. He's got something to prove and a big old ladder to climb to get back to the top of the heap.

It starts tonight.
