The official weigh in event for UFC 166: "Velasquez vs. Dos Santos 3" takes place today (Oct. 18, 2013) LIVE from Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
All main card fighters hit their respective weights without incident. However, preliminary card fighter Andre Fili has forfeited 20-percent of his purse for coming in heavy for his featherweight bout. That money will go to his opponent, Jeremy Larsen.
"Velasquez vs. Dos Santos 3" will feature UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez, who tries to close out his rubber match against Junior dos Santos in the night's main event. Prior to the conclusion of their trilogy, Roy Nelson and Daniel Cormier will attempt to settle their war of words to see who gets down to light heavyweight with their records intact.
