Well the main event panned out the way I predicted it in one of those sites where nobody visits:
Demain Maia vs. Jake Shields: Jake Shields, one of the most gifted MMA submission fighters, is a black belt under the renowned Cesar Gracie. He has fought and defeated the best in the world like Dan Henderson, Martin Kampmann, Hayato Sakurai and Tyron Woodley. Since losing to Jake Ellenberger, Shields has reeled off two straight victories, though one of them was overturned. Meanwhile his opponent Demian Maia, also one of the most feared submission specialists in the world, is on a three-fight win streak since making the drop down to 170 pounds, which includes victories over Jon Fitch, Rick Story and Dong Hyun Kim. His last loss was to current UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman. This is a dream match-up of two grapplers who have never tapped out. Unfortunately, this is more of a nightmare than a dream for me. I like both as grapplers but I can see them hugging, slapping, clinching and throwing punches that won’t kill a fly. In fact, I am expecting that both will delete whatever accounts they have at Grinder or Planet Romeo and fall in each other’s arms after 25 minutes of pure love and affection. = Shields, split decision
The night belonged to Dong Hyun Kim and Rousimar Palhares with Kim proving that he has the striking and power to complement his "self-proclaimed better wrestrling pedigree than GSP, " and Palhares again destroying another limb (again with controversy). This should have been a good card had Thiago Silva decided to have discipline and focus, but you can't trust Thiago nowadays with anything, whether it be horse urine, being overweight or the cannabis.
Ridiculous low scores for the Money poolers this event. And what do you have when you deal with low scores -- Adrian topping it. Yes sir, our unshaved Canadian topscored this event with 53 points. Fucking 53 points. Three shit pickers with 15 points and the good news is Ricky Dooby ain't one of them. Sanabriaman just got eliminated in the bracket by an opponent who scored 35 points FFS! This is a weird card and nothing can be weirder than seeing scores no greater than 55. Enough of the talking.
