Strikeforce will return to Showtime tonight (Sat., Jan. 12, 2013) for its farewell event, "Marquardt vs. Saffiedine," which will begin around 8 p.m. ET with the mixed martial arts (MMA) under card matches that will be broadcast LIVE on Showtime Extreme.
Then it's time to switch over to the the Showtime channel for the main card portion of the event, which features a Welterweight championship main event between division kingpin, Nate Marquardt, defending his 170-pound title for the first and only time against Tarec Saffiedine, beginning promptly at 10 p.m. ET.
Don't get Showtime as part of your subscription package?
Well, you should! At least for tonight and tomorrow, anyway, because this is Showtimes "Free Preview Weekend," meaning you don't have to upgrade your cable package to witness history. And all you Canadians should be happy to hear about the last-minute deal that ensures Showtime will air on Super Channel (read more on that here).
