Finally.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre will make his long-awaited return to the Octagon to try to unify the 170-pound titles against division Interim titleholder Carlos Condit at the upcoming UFC 154 pay-per-view (PPV) event on Nov. 17, 2012 from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Two men enter, one man leaves.
Despite his surgically-repaired knee and extended layoff, St. Pierre still opened as the odds-on favorite at -350 for UFC 154, while Condit limped in as the +265 underdog.
The Canadian kingpin hasn't seen the inside of a cage since his five round dance against Jake Shields at UFC 129 back in April 2011. During his time away from the sport, he was able to reassess his fighting style and has since promised more exciting fights with more finishes.
Time will tell.
This could be the rebirth of one of the greatest fighters of our generation -- or a disaster that knocks him from his pedestal. Any guess as to which scenario unfolds on fight night? Early predictions Maniacs ... who ya' got?
