But he has no beef with them!
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White was a part of the recent UFC 152 press conference scrum, which not only covered the "Jones vs. Belfort" pay-per-view (PPV) event on Sept. 29 in Toronto, but some of the other big stories in mixed martial arts (MMA) as well.
Like what happened to Tyson Nam.
White wasn't a big fan of how Bellator, who took over the empty slot left on Spike TV when ZUFFA graduated to the FOX network, "handcuffed" the hard-hitting bantamweight following bis blistering knockout of Eduardo Dantas last month in Brazil.
"I don't talk much about Bellator, but what they do is one of the dirtiest things you can do in the business. It's dirty, it's grimy and it's just despicable. Of course, I have a right to match, but once I cut a guy and let him go and somebody else tries to sign him, I don't come back and say 'Oh, you're breaking the contract, I have matching...' you know what I mean? When you made the decision to cut him, you cut him. That's one of the dirtiest, scummiest things you can do in the fight business. [Signing Tyson Nam] is not gonna make or break the UFC. The problem is the dirty, scumbag moves these guys are pulling hurts the fighter. We don't do business like that. I have no beef with those guys, they're doing their own thing, I couldn't care less. It's dirty and it's borderline criminal."
Hear White break it all down (via MMA Fighting) after the jump.
There are two sides to every story, Maniacs, which one are you on?
