UFC on FX 6 books Gold Coast Convention Centre for TUF 'Smashes' Finale on Dec. 15 in Australia

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has locked up a location for its upcoming UFC on FX 6 network television event, booking the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Broadbeach, Gold Coast, Australia, for Dec. 15, 2012.

Promotion officials announced the destination late last night.

UFC on FX 6 will feature a middleweight headliner pitting hometown hero Hector Lombard against Brazilian bone cruncher Rousimar Palhares. In addition, The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) "Smashes" season will conclude its season with finales in both the lightweight and welterweight divisions.

Also on the docket will be a showdown featuring the two coaches for the show, a 155-pound tussle pitting George Sotiropoulos (Australia) vs. Ross Pearson (United Kingdom).

Main Event:

185 lbs.: Hector Lombard vs. Rousimar Palhares

Main Card:

155 lbs.: George Sotiropoulos vs. Ross Pearson
155 lbs.: TUF Smashes Finalist 1 vs. Finalist 2
170 lbs.: TUF Smashes Finalist 1 vs. Finalist 2
205 lbs.: Ednaldo Oliveira vs. Krzysztof Soszynski
