"Anderson's trying to duck him. I think it's 'cause Weidman can beat him and everyone knows it. It sucks, there's politics involved, there's a lot of money on the line, and it's sad to see the No. 1 contender not get a shot because Anderson's camp is choosing who he wants to fight. I'd like to see Weidman get a shot because I think he can take out Anderson Silva."

-- Always willing to share a piece of his mind, UFC middleweight and former finalist of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season three Ed Herman weighed in on the current situation brewing in the UFC middleweight division during an appearance on The MMA Show with Mauro Ranallo. Anderson Silva defeated Chael Sonnen at UFC 148, but has wavered at undefeated wrestler Chris Weidman, who looked like a legitimate contender to his title with a UFC on Fuel TV 4 victory over then-number three-ranked Mark Munoz. Herman is putting his name forward as a contender as well and is currently riding a three fight winning streak in the division ever since returning from a horrific pair of knee injuries. He takes on Jake Shields on the UFC 150 main card this Saturday night (August 11, 2011). Do you agree with "Short Fuse" in regards to the UFC champ?
