Brandon Vera, despite being a monster underdog, takes Mauricio Rua into deep waters in the main event of the UFC on Fox 4 fight card last night (Sat., Aug. 4, 2012) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. As the saying goes, however, the cream rises to the top and "Shogun" eventually scored a fourth round stoppage victory. He wasn't more impressive than Lyoto Machida who was awarded the next light heavyweight title shot for his victory earlier in the night. Not only was Rua not as impressive as "The Dragon," there are now lingering questions on how much the Brazilian has left in the tank after such a taxing performance against a man he was so heavily favored over. Does it say more about Vera or "Shogun" that the fight played out the way it did? Maniacs, you're thoughts?
