Looks like Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is drawing some inspiration from those old PRIDE Fighting Championship posters back in the day.

The promotion is teasing the debut of its upcoming Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 16 combat sports reality show, which is set to debut on the FX Channel on Fri., Sept. 14, 2012, featuring heavyweight rivals Shane Carwin vs. Roy Nelson as opposing coaches.

This is the poster to welcome you to Friday, "the end of the weak."

Wordplay aside, this should prove to be a fairly entertaining season, if for no other reason than Roy Nelson mastering the art of pissing everyone off. That's according to UFC President Dana White, along with "The Engineer," who both have no love lost for "Big Country."

The feeling may be mutual.

Season 16 will be televised every Friday night for 13 consecutive weeks and the eventual season winner will be crowned at the TUF 16 live finale on Sat., Dec. 15 on FX. In addition to the glass trophy, the champion also receives a "six-figure" contract with the UFC.
