Third time's the charm.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) today (Aug. 27, 2012) released its latest version of the UFC 152 poster for its "Jones vs. Belfort" pay-per-view (PPV) event, which by now should not come as news that Jon Jones is putting his light heavyweight title on the line against former middleweight number one contender Vitor Belfort.
Mismatch? The oddsmakers think so.
Nevertheless, "The Phenom" will try to do the impossible on Sept. 22, 2012 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, which means the previous headliner, Joseph Benavidez vs. Demetrious Johnson, will be bumped down to the co-main event.
Great news for Canucks, not-so-great for "Sin City" fight fans.
That's because the UFC 151 show was canceled after Dan Henderson blew out his knee and was forced to withdraw. "Bones" was not interested in a Pearl Harbor attack from Chael Sonnen, so UFC President Dana White opted to scrap the event altogether.
