Mauricio Rua vs Brandon Vera staredown pic from UFC on Fox 4 press conference on Aug. 2

The UFC on Fox 4: "Shogun vs. Vera" event is still a couple of days away, but that doesn't mean main event participants Mauricio Rua vs. Brandon Vera couldn't get together for a pre-fight staredown.

That's exactly what they did earlier today (August 2, 2012) at the press conference which was held at the JW Marriot in Los Angeles to tie up any loose ends prior to this weekend's (August 4) light heavyweight showdown at the taples Center in Los Angeles, California.

In addition to the main event match-up of Shogun vs. Vera, top-ranked light heavyweights Lyoto Machida vs. Ryan Bader will collide and the most impressive performance is expected to earn a title shot at the winner of the UFC 151 main event between champion Jon Jones vs. Dan Henderson.
