Strikeforce returns to Showtime tomorrow night (Sat., Aug. 18, 2012) with its "Rousey vs. Kaufman" event from the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California, with a highly anticipated Women's Bantamweight championship showdown pitting rising star Ronda Rousey in her first title defense against Sarah Kaufman.

The same cannot be said for the next Strikeforce event on the calendar, the "Melendez vs. Healy" show that will take place on Sept. 29, 2012, from the Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento, California.
That's because although Lightweight Champion Gilbert Melendez is ranked number three in the world at 155-pounds, his opponent that night, Pat Healy, is much farther down the ladder at number 18. But perceived disrespect can be one hell of a motivating factor, so don't count "Bam Bam" out just yet.
