The Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion is set to defend her 135-pound belt against former division titleholder Sarah Kaufman at this Saturday night's (Aug. 18, 2012) Showtime event from the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California.
And the "Rowdy" mixed martial arts (MMA) champ has become a media darling.
So why isn't anyone talking about Kaufman? She's one of the best female fighters in the world, amassing a 15-1 record with 10 finishes by way of knockout or technical knockout. She also has three times the experience as her foe and seven fights under the Strikeforce banner.
But the hype has kept her at bay with a +450 betting line.
