Now that you have all settled down after Anderson Silva beat down Chael Sonnen to retain his middleweight title for the tenth straight time at UFC 148 last night (July 7, 2012), let's take a look at the happenings earlier in the day at the UFC Fan Expo, which was held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Yesterday, we saw Round 5's latest venture in the collectibles world, some of your favorite mixed martial artists meeting with fans and, of course, plenty of shameless photos of beautiful women wearing next to nothing promoting the latest product from vendors across the country.
In day two of our UFC Fan Expo diary, we see a few more pictures of your favorite fighters signing autographs and smiling for the cameras, some action from the Grapplers Quest Tournament and Tito Ortiz's Hall of Fame induction.
Let's get right to it:
Arianny was up and at 'em early posing for pictures with fans:
A little Grapplers Quest action from all ages:
Josh Barnett was greeting fans all day:
Tito Ortiz Hall of Fame induction speech:
Tito got emotional thanking the fans for their support over the years:
Representing the Bad Boy booth were UFC stars Erick Silva and Ross Pearson:
The staredown with a fighter pose seems to be the popular thing to do:
Here is something you might not see every day -- one UFC star asking another for an autograph. Avid Round 5 collector Duane Ludwig asking Donald Cerrone to sign his limited edition figure:
Cerrone tells MMAmania.com commenters just what he thinks of them (just kidding!!):
UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones made an appearance, and his line was at least an hour and a half wait for a photo up:
Rashad Evans interacted with the fans, as well:
Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey has quite a long line of fans eager to take a picture:
Georges St. Pierre made an appearance at The Rushfit Booth:
Frank Mir also got into the mix with fans:
Chuck Liddell in the house:
See how fit you really are by taking the UFC Gym challenge:
Round 5 was doing their part in helping promote the big fight while Alexander Gustafsson greeted fans:
The legend Don Frye had a long line all day and took the time to sign every item handed to him:
Dominick Cruz's world title:
"The Korean Zombie" made it out to support the cause:
Some more eye candy for men and women, on the way out:
There you have it, Maniacs. If you ever have a chance to make it out to an Expo, do it. The pictures really do not do it justice, as the atmosphere is electric and there is so much stuff happening all over the place.
In case your wondering, International Fight week will be a yearly thing and more-than-likely, the expo will go down again next year in Las Vegas.
