Video: UFC 148 headliner Chael Sonnen is an 'American Gangster'

When you think of America's "mean streets," I'm sure you're like me and immediately think of West Linn, Oregon, named after dastardly democratic Senator Lewis F. Linn of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. And its median family income of $83,252 and median property value of $405,000?

That's straight up gangster, yo.

It also explains how Chael Sonnen got his "American Gangster" nickname, which he'll now have to live up to when he takes on Anderson Silva at the UFC 148 pay-per-view (PPV) event this Saturday night (July 7, 2012) at the MGM Grand Garden Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

That's where he'll challenge "The Spider" for the promotion's 185-pound title (again) after coming up short in their first go-round at UFC 117 way back in Aug. 2010. Sonnen put the screws to the Brazilian kingpin for four-and-a-half rounds before succumbing to a last-minute triangle choke.

See anything in the above video that convinces you history won't repeat itself?
