Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight striker Anthony Johnson is going directly to light heavyweight. Do not pass middleweight, do not collect $200.

After his weight-cutting snafu against Dave Branch back in May, "Rumble" has bumped up to the 205-pound division for good, where he feels "happy and healthy" in preparation for his upcoming fight against Esteves Jones at the Titan 24 event scheduled for Aug. 24, 2012 live on AXS TV in Kansas City, Kansas.

MMA Fighting brought word of the pending match-up earlier today.

Johnson was booted from the UFC after repeatedly missing weight, most recently against Vitor Belfort at the UFC 142 pay-per-view event back in January. "The Phenom" nevertheless agreed to the bout in "Rio" and made his opponent pay for the transgression with a first round submission (rear naked choke) finish.

In addition to "Johnson vs. Jones," Titan 24 will also feature the highly-anticipated mixed martial arts (MMA) debut of Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) Champion and all-around grappling wizard Braulio Estima. Drawing the short straw for his debut is Chris Holland (no, not my dad).

"The Hammer" is a 5-3 fighter with all five wins coming by way of knockout or technical knockout. He was last seen doing further damage to the already hurting Phil Baroni at the Ring of Fire (ROF): "Bad Blood" event last month in Broomfield.

Let's hope he's been training sub defense.

Stay tuned to for more additions to the Titan 24 fight card and line-up, as they become available.
